Abstract

Women’s education plays a pivotal role in shaping society by influencing future generations and contributing to social and economic progress. Educated women serve as primary caregivers and influential role models, nurturing responsible citizens and fostering moral values. Historically, Indian women held esteemed positions during the Vedic age, enjoying equal educational opportunities and actively participating in intellectual discourse. However, their educational rights diminished over time until social reformers in the British era advocated for female education, establishing schools and colleges that advanced women’s empowerment. Ultimately, the empowerment of women through education ensures sustainable development, reinforcing the belief that an educated woman benefits her family, community, and the nation. Collaborative efforts from society, governments, and organizations are essential to bridge educational gaps, providing women with the tools to lead independent, dignified lives and drive collective progress.
